She's absolutely right.
Actors aren't dumb by any means...but they aren't brain surgeons, or MBA's either.
(Well, except for the ones who are brain surgeons or MBA's...???)

Why, as a society, do we give these people the kind of coverage we do?
Wait~

I don't give them coverage...
I don't read the trade mags...or the gossip stuff (and this is a conscious choice- BTW)
I turn them off when they start their "political-speek"...

The Media gives them coverage!

I'm really beginning to loathe TV...really.

It's a media orgy centered around minorly gifted, and low class wage earners- who have the right to speak...

and I have the right not to listen.
